I watched the game and have a few observations. Although I was disappointed with the result. I was OK with the effort of both players and coaches. This is because we had more assists than turnovers, shot 100% from the line, and almost 45% from the field. Although, I would still like to see more passing the dribbling had more of a purpose than in past games. It was either to get the ball to a shooter or move towards the basket. The only complaint I have offensively is Gradnigo did not get the ball in the last part of the game. He had 23 with 11 minutes to go and finished with 23. I am sure WKU prevented him from getting it. Perhaps that is why McCoy scored a few. Reason we lost is because of our major problem all season which is lack of an inside game. Our post players had only two baskets, one by Johnson and one by Batiste. We got beat on the boards again and the reason we only shot eight free throws is because we are not physical enough inside. Several of our misses on two point shots would have been made by guys with more strength. Although this comment is old to some, it bears repeating. Unless we can get stronger near the basket, this team is limited in what it can do. That goes for the remainder of this season and next season. That will be the situation regardless of who is coach.

We might squeeze out 1 more win than that prediction, but I definitely see a loss to USA, MT, NT and UALR, with ASU being a probable loss. If Lee keeps his job after this year, then this administration will never fire anyone I'm afraid. _
    FIU will beat us!

They may, but I don't think they will. FIU is 1-8 on the road, and theyll be making a mid week trip here sandwiched between saturday home games vs UALR and ASU. I don't think FIU will be able to come in focused enough. I might be wrong, they might lose that game, but just for projection reasons, I think 10-11 wins is about our ceiling now.

They way we have played I won't predict us to win any games right now. FIU has a strong team, don't be fooled.

Mike, the game was lost in the first half. WKU had a 5 min stretch where they played very poorly. We had several opportunities to tie or take the lead, but usually turned it over or missed an open shot. In he second half, we were pretty good. IMHO this is about as good as we can play. I agree with you...we are limited and will not be winning regularly anytime soon.
