Tulane has some major problems on the defensive side (sound familiar). They had a pretty good RB go down this year.

I'll be there just because it's another trip to New Orleans but has the administration noticed that we win more at home than on the road.

I believe NCAA rules say every two years you must have 6 home games. So next year we MUST have 6, which is the way it should always be.

Hey, I don't mind only having to drive 20 minutes to see a home game!!

I think it will be a long time before we have 6 home games again...at least on a regular basis. Five is going to be the norm for us from here on out unless we can get out of the SBC.

Of course. Once again, Tulane will not come to Lafayette in any sport. We always have to go over there to play them. Just look at baseball. We should only play this school if they promise a return game. And that's generous after what they have done to us in the past(only school to vote against us from entering CUSA).

I fully agree with your point but we've already proven many times the Superdome is a home venue for us. If we have 6 home games and a game in the dome, I call that 7 homes games and it cannot get any better than that.

Therefore, DESPITE ANYTHING I SAID BEFORE, I'd bite the bullet here and make the supreme sacrifice to take the family to New Orleans for a great win in the dome and weekend in the French Quarter.

By the way, the mighty Tulamies pulled 2500 for its 2008 season home finale against UAB.

BATON ROUGE -- LSU officially finalized its 2009 football schedule on Tuesday with the addition of Louisiana Tech to the home slate.

The addition of Louisiana Tech to the schedule, coupled with the moving of the Tulane game from New Orleans to Tiger Stadium, gives the Tigers seven home games next year.

The Tigers and Louisiana Tech will square off on Nov. 14 in Tiger Stadium.

The Tulane game will remain on Oct. 31, but will be played in Tiger Stadium instead of the Louisiana Superdome. The teams are scheduled to play in the season-opener on Sept. 4 in 2010 at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.

In addition to Louisiana Tech and Tulane, the Tigers home slate in 2009 will feature Southeastern Conference games against Florida, Auburn, Arkansas and Vanderbilt with the other non-conference game coming against Louisiana-Lafayette.

The Louisiana-Lafayette game was moved up a year from 2010 to 2009, switching spots with Southern Miss, who will visit Tiger Stadium in 2010.

On the road, the Tigers will face Washington in a non-conference contest to open the season, before traveling to league foes in Mississippi State, Georgia, Alabama and Ole Miss.

Screw La. Tech and Tulane in all sports. I would rather see us go on the road against Miss. State or some other bottom rung team from a better conference every year and suck it up by only having 5 home games than to sucumb to the will of La. Tech and Tulane. They can both go to hell.

If Tulane is going to give us $300,000 for essentially a home game, I will take that type of screwing.

I hear what you are saying, but it is time we stop prostituting ourselves out to the rest of the state schools. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I think we are superior to La. Tech and Tulane in athletics, it is about mutual respect. If they can't respect us enough to play home and home games in ALL sports then F*&k them. I am sick and tired of our administration and coaches allowing this to happen period.

I agree on the LaTech front. Their campus is in a backwater town. Tulane on the other hand is in a big media market(by LA standards). I think it is worth it.
