With National Signing Day only two weeks away, UL's football team moved closer to rounding out its 2009 recruiting class after adding three more public commitments over the weekend.
The Cajuns got pledges from defensive tackle Brandon McCray from Merritt Island (Fla.) High, Beaumont (Texas) Ozen High offensive lineman Daniel Lemelle and tight end/wide receiver Ian Thompson from East Forsyth (N.C.) High. The trio committed after official on-campus visits to UL last weekend, with all three players already qualifying academically.
