But Hammer will take a hot, steaming dump on whatever you have to say about "education", and so will a few others on here, namely 1more, zeph, metry, and HouGrad. Just giving a friendly warning..

NO you are immature. I didn't say anything about education before you did! You it did by talking about my grammar on a message board! You can warn all you want, ring the bell or whatever you do....if you want to look for immaturity look in the M-I-R-R-O-R.

Like I said before you want to "MOCK" me and then when I come back on ya, you want to get mad! I haven't done anything to disrespect anybody on here until you started mocking me. Now tell me what's fair?

LIke i told the guy before, i'm willing to let by gones be by gones but it seems like you guys have hostility towards me that you need to let go.

Sorry dude, you started talking ebonics, and I don't understand that language. Thats really all I said about you personally, and only because it directly effected my being able to understand your opinion (which you so necessarily have to announce). And thats fine; after all, what are message boards for? We have a history of posters using text messaging lingo on this board (which I find disgusting, IMO) and 9 times out of 10, they end up being just as idiotic as there choice of communication. If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck...

    ya dig..

If that's your way of calling a truce then I accept. We all speak broken up english, we are Cajuns! I'm sure in the right enviroment we can all talk and use structured sentences. That's it! Everybody take a deep breath and let it go. O..K? It seems like yall are cool guys, and i've never been to a UL Lafayette football game. I would love to have a good time and tailgate with some of you if i'm invited to! Anyway..Have a good day!

This thread has gone to Hell and back. The original topic has been discussed quite a bit and it might be time for this baby to be retired...

Better yet let's line up Mississippi State Engineering grads vs UL Lafayette Engineering grads and see who's last between the two in education?

Time to let it go and move on with your life! I've said what I needed to say. _
Please show me in what universe MSU is has a top ten engineering program. I just did some reading in multiple sites and I don't see MSU in the top 50. Not that your program is bad, but to make such a fruitless claim is just obtuse. And for your information the UL engineering department is pretty solid. Our Petroleum Engineering student professional society just recieved an award for being the best chapter in the world. So I would stack up the education at UL against many higher profile schools. Not that that is a slight to your education, so don't take it that way. Education is not a ____ing contest, it is a challenge for excellence where everybody can win.

Mississippi State no longer has a Petroleum Engineering Department, therefore it is difficult to make a comparison. I will say the Miss. State Engineering grads I have worked with are top notch folks.

All I have to say is that I work in the oil field here in Lafayette and have seen many MSU engineering graduates come and go. Some were good and some couldn't hold a candle to some of the UL I-tech grads. So basically it doesn't matter what school you went to, only what you do after you get out of school.

On a lighter note, how many stars did rivals.com give you when you were recruited by MSU engineering? I'm just wondering.

2 stars. But he was an injury and 15 lbs away from being a 3 star.

No it is not obtuse. ASME ranked them in the top 10 when I was in school (on the Mechanical side). I take back the comment about UL Lafayette Engineering. I know it is a strong school. They hold a strong name when I worked for Chevron in Houston, TX and I actually have a couple of peers that I know graduated from there. They contantly choose UL Grads for off-shore assigments. You are exactly right it is a challenge for excellence and I apologize for that comment.
