Let me say that you CAN hold your head up! You and your teammates did a LOT to make us proud of our association with UL. This current mess has no bearing on what you did. Thanks for being a proud alumnus of UL! Best of luck to you in your coaching endeavors!

Thank you....It has taken awhile to get here, but I feel that I am close to being the man that I was put here to be. And I refuse to come on here and blog like I don't have a decent education. You guys might hold it against me if I am ever roaming the sidelines in the Cajundome.

I appreciate that, but I look at it from the perspective of that should still be happening there. It was almost ten years ago when my teammates and I made our run (Man, time has flown by). I know that what we did can never be taken away, but I still want to be able to brag on the product on the floor.

I will not get involved in this discussion, but just to make sure that everything is accurate, the GLORY DAYS at this University took place in the late 60's and early 70's!!! Other than that, we have had other periods of good or decent basketball, but let's make sure that we don't confuse adequate play to that of the real "GLORY DAYS" when our team could consistently compete with some of the top teams in the country!

I would not call them glory days, but from 2000-2005 postseason 5 out of 6 years. That is acceptable performance. We need to get back to this kind of success.

Forgot the NCST game was so close. We played pretty bad that day. If my memory serves me correct, that was not Brad's best day at the office.

And if I don't get that technical against Tennessee and kill momentum, we win that game. I can say it now that I am older. Didnt understand back then. It hurts to say it, but I am the reason we didnt get out the first round.

Regarding the Tennessee game in 2000. We all remember the foul called on Brett Smith when it appeared he made a clean steal. Was that a bad call as we all believe. I had forgotten the tech you got. I don't recall what it was for but I respect you for taking responsibility for it now.

The point is the good memories, its about making the post season, having 20 win seasons... Losing 1 game a year at home, its about respect.... Now we have some guy who just remebers the names of these old players, so how could this be glory days to you... MID MAJORS THRIVE ON 20 win SEASONS and POST SEASON PLAY.... ITS A BOUt GETTTING TO THE DANCE, whether you make a run in the TOURNEY will determing how much of a glory day it is.... Every winning season, and CONF. TITLE is a glory day for this program...

I remember names, and individual moments from Cajun games almost 30 years ago. Many of those years I drove from New Orleans to watch the Cajuns. I did this because I usually was entertained. I do admit that is not the case recently. However, I don't know if it's because the kids on the team now don't have heart. It may be they are simply not good enough. Having to play without any inside presence makes it very difficult on a team. I have no doubt that Brad, Reggie and other guys who played when Jessie was here played with passion and left everything on the court. I will always appreciate their efforts. I do believe we can bring those days back but the current squad needs help in order to do so.

_ Hello Gang....This is Reggie DeGray, former ragin cajun. I have visited this site for some time now and had refrained from commenting until I read the post above. As a former Cajun, I do care immensely about the state of UL basketball, but I refuse to throw Coach Lee under the bus. As a coach myself, I know that there is more going on than what people on the outside can see. I am not saying that we all are not allowed an opinion but just know that there is more going on than any spectator could ever know. I have attended some practices and when I first walked in I was amazed at the size that UL has. We look like a major D1 sizewise. But one thing I could not see, and none of us can is the size of their hearts. Coach Lee can only do so much. All he can do is prepare the team the best way he knows how and then they have to execute. If he is doing this to his fullest potential and they are not delivering on the court, then obviously there is a disconnect and we all have a right to be outraged and disappointed at the product that is on the floor. I don't know what the answer is and I would never ask for the head of the Coach, but I do agree that it is disappointing and things need to get better. _
