Josh Johns is on the borderline of deciding between UL and La Tech. I understand we have a great shot at landing him. He would be a terrific saftey from what I'm told, and probably would play as a freshman. He is taking a final visit to La Tech this weekend, but from what I hear, is leaning towards us. LSU is dangling a carrot in front of him, but hasn't offered. I'm told he's about to commit to us...won't wait to see if someone 'drops' off LSU's list. He would be a great recruit, from what I'm told. I hope he lands with us.

This would be great for UL. Beating tech in a recruiting battle, and getting a good defensive athlete would put everyone in high spirits. It seems like LSU is the X factor here... If they say jump, he goes.

Johns left Tech last night without committing, he will be in next weekend.

I have a cousin who covers recruiting in the Baton Rouge area and has seen him play quite a bit. He gave me a little insight to this kid and mentioned that he might be our best signing if we get him. He said he is legit and can easily play as a frosh.

I think this is the understatement of the year. How many of our guys are waiting on LSU to fill out their class? Also, he is the only 3 star recruit on our wish list (please no lectures on the star system). With his size and speed he would have to be hurt not to play for us as a true Frosh.
