It isn’t that Donald and Glinda Burnette questioned their son’s decision. They just wanted to make sure it was the right one.
Tuesday night, they got the answer.
Louisiana coach Rickey Bustle, along with two assistants, paid a visit to the Burnette home, saying enough to erase any concerns.
By the time the coaches left, Winston Burnette — a Woodlawn defensive back — had put to bed a commitment three weeks in the making.
“As his parents, we asked that (Winston) would give us the opportunity to sit down and visit with the coaching staff,” Donald Burnette said. “This is a big decision. We wanted to get some of the more pertinent issues covered regarding school and the university.”
