Thread: UF #1, Utah #2, USC #3, Texas #4

  1. #1

Default UTAH Best in all the land

    13-0 Utah national champs.

Florida with a LOSS had to beat Alabama just to get to number 1. UNDEFEATED Utah humiliated Alabama and is the TRUE NATIONAL CHAMPION

I'd be surprised if they don't get top votes in the AP Poll.

Final AP poll is out. Utah got 16 first place votes.

There should be a playoff with these four teams in it. How awesome would that be.

The Sore thumb in those four is USC. I don't think they deserve #3, #4 maybe. Definitely not #3.

I think USC would crush the other 3. Alas, we will never know. Thanks NCAA.

Based on what? One bad game? Everybody but Utah had at least one bad game against a lesser opponent. Texas fans should be ashamed instead go on with their whining.

USC would demolish every other team.. except Florida. People like to give FL's speed all the credit, but it was obvious to me that the Gators' coaching staff is superior to the rest of the college football nation... plus they have a ton of speed

Texas fans are still crying over sour grapes. They spend money to fly planes with banners over OU games with past game scores or classless quips. I'm so tired of Texas fans moaning and crying. Yes I'm biased, I know this, but enough is enough. It was a three way tie, not a two way tie, the voters voted and now the season is over. Don't drown in your tears Horn fans.

You're kidding, right!?? SC demolished a GOOD Penn State team while the T-sips had to steal one from a hapless Ohio State team that will never win another bowl game as long as Tressle is there!!

And Florida lost to Ole Miss. If Penn State doesn't lose to a last second field goal to Iowa, they would likely have been in the BCS title game. The problem is, there were a number of 1 loss teams could be playing for a national title. Texas and USC were as good or better than OU and Florida and Texas beat OU. It is a joke how these two were selected. The BCS is a farce. A playoff is the only solution and I don't mean a single game after all the bowls. Who would have played in that game vs. Florida - Utah, USC or Texas? And, why are there other BCS bowl games if only one BCS bowl game decides the national championship? They are as meaningless as any other of the 34 or so bowl games.

Well, the SEC tried last year to push though a one + playoff thing, but it was defeated by a group lead by PAC 10 Presidents. The Pac 10 refuses to develop some kinda conference title game as well. They have Califorina and the Rose Bowl and I kinda think they don't want much to change.

It's their right to run their conference as they see fit and it's a great conference, but their actions lead to much of their own problems. imo

I think the SEC is just as against a playoff as everyone else. The fact is, no BCS conference wants a playoff. Dont put the blame squarely on the PAC10, all BCS conferences are 100% responsible for this embarrasment.
