A trademark of the University of Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun football team has always been toughness. The trademark is instilled in the players early and teaches a player to always fught through adversity and give 100% every down.
The offensive line plays in the proverbial “trenches” and always needs five tough players to line up and play on every single offensive play. One of those players for the Louisiana Ragin Cajun’ football team is offensive lineman Demetrios Brooks.
Brooks has always showed characteristics of a player who will lay it on the line for the team.
At Irving High School, located in Irving, Texas, Brooks paved the way for a rushing attack that ran up yardage on everyone. During Brooks’ senior season, the team averaged more than 300 yards rushing per game.
The majority of those yards came behind the massive 6-4, 295-pound Brooks. Brooks’s hard work and tenacity earned him a football scholarship to Louisiana.
