A side note, VT and USL were never in the same boat, they always were in a superior situation, or conference until their in state rival pushed for their inclusion into the ACC. That will never happen in Louisiana, never at any level CUSA, AAC. We have to make it on our own and hope there is not a serious effort to blackball us.
Absolutely Express. We have a unique situation that doesn't model to anyone else. I'm also not interested in using the old jalopy we barely agreed to paint every decade as the baseline for our new race car... or even doing more than a glance at our current dashboard... when we need to focus on raising money and building our new race car. You are correct about conference associations. They are vital. And we're in a pinch.

And if anyone at UL is so severely disturbed that they don't know we are going to be at risk to lose Hud each and every joyous day we win another football game... they need their head examined.

We did two smart things in this latest contract (thanks Scott and whoever else assisted)... we gave Hud a very competitive compensation package... and we established a decent buyout clause (formula). (And those of you that don't understand the importance of a buyout formula for Hud... go punch yourself in the nutsack)

I'd like to know where their budget, facilities, conference situation, etc. were at the time.
---I hope I am correct on this---But Stoke and Barry Wilson left LSU and were on the staff at VT---I remember getting a football season report on VT and a photo of their stadium---It was very much like our one at the time!!! kinda wondered why Barry and Nelson went there!!!
