Bowl Results on ESPN

I was just watching the morning show ESPN news and they listed the bowl results for each conference. Guess which conference wasn't even listed on the screen? Really makes me mad. GRRRRRRR. Just venting.

I noticed this too. Someone on here (I forget who) said that they mention that to be listed the conference must have a minimum of 3 bowl participants (we only have 2).

We can crow all we want about beating CUSA and MAC teams, but it's little things like this "list" that set our conference's perception back quite a bit.


Bottom line: For the sun belt to be taken seriously, we need more bowl tie-ins of the primary nature (and obviously, winning).

You're right and especially because our w/l percentage is far higher than the WAC or MAC. Actually, I think it has to do with the number of bowls (2) we played in (thanks again WW!!).

Let me add however that being on the list and being shown as 1-4 and 0-4 (whatever it is currently) ain't all that great either. Being "highlighted" in a bowl game and playing so bad you're an embarrassment is ugly too.

Its for the little bowl challenge that they do every year. Requirement to win the challenge is 3 bowl teams. We had 2 and therefore not listed.

The "3 Bowl" rule seems ridiculous when there are 11 conferences, and they list 10.

In this case, we can thank the Indy Bowl & Louisiana Tech...
