Some out of ignorance never knew it was offensive. Some decided to embrace it and erase the derogatory nature. Either way it's up to the individual.

    There was a boiled Crawfish place on LA 339 named Mudbugs.

    Because they call my favorite Louisiana delacacy "BUGS" I said to MYSELF, "I could never eat there."

    Partially because I picture an out of state entrepreneur capitalizing on the culture without doing the research.

    Yes absolutely. I also have very vague memories of going to Wildcatter games.
