Every team has injuries and personel losses. Some teams (like Troy) lose their starting QB.

It's halftime and I'm watching the Boise Bowl and Nevada's QB, the WAC offensive player of the year, got his ankle rolled and left the field awfully gimpy. Coach Ault said they may have to go with their #2 QB in the second half.

I'll go out on a limb here and say Nevada shouldn't have a drop off at all in offensive production (every team suffers injuries and personnel losses).

Naw, he (I cannot spell his name) came back and played all but the opening series in the second half. Had a great game. It ended in a 42-28 win for Maryland, a team that lost to the SBC's Middle Tennessee.

The mighty WAC now moves to 1-4 and I hear said their commissioner will hold a prayer session tomorrow to thank the football gods for LaTex.

_ Not bad at all, Boomer, considering the loss of personnel we suffered and where we were originally projected to finish. Not having Dez at 100% and the losses at the LB position hurt us bad. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to the '09 season and, among other things, fulfilling my plans to attend the Cornhusker game. _

This was the year everyone waited for; stud players all over the offense and a much larger and improved d. I'm sick of the damn excuses about injuries; I'm going to paraphrase the leader of the pro-Bustle fan club, you have to judge the full body of work for a coach. Well BOP, 7 years and 32W's - 52L's or something like that. How can you sheep keep making excuses for this coaching fiasco? I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see us winning 4 games next year and I guess we will continue the debate then.

I absolutely despise kool-aid, and I see no way we go with 4 wins or fewer next year.

It just can't happen with what we have returning. I'm not saying Bustle is "the guy," but he's not inept. He can win 5 games at least.

That being said, 7 wins is a minimum for returning for the 2010 season (for me. As a needy, impatient fan)
