I do have to admit, however, that LA Tech's helmets do have a distinctive logo and their uniforms look great. IMO, Tech has done a great job of separation from UL and ULM as we are joined together and stuck in the SBC. The move is working for Tech even if they didn't get the original invitation to C-USA. Perception wise, Tech is head and shoulders above UL and we have only ourselves to blame for it. _
"We" have only "ourselves" to blame for it? Sorry, "I" do not accept the blame for anything that hasn't been done properly at UL. "We" retired our prior athletics problem.... and now we are all waiting to see if things are going to improve. It takes committed leadership to upgrade university athetics.

At this moment in time, I have very little confidence in Dr. Savoie. I think he is just a nice guy who won't take athletics much more serious than Dr. Authemont. JMO

You ever get the feeling that we care more than the powers at Martin Hall?

What a poor performance by both teams in the 1st half. Tech keeps missing opportunities to score and NIU keeps coughing it up.

Did I mention Dooley looks like a douchebag? _
dude the place seats over 50k. i think around 52. there are no more than 10k empty seats. easily about 41k there. just stop already. the stadium is pretty darn full/ you guys probably would have filled it up though. I think Tech would have beaten you guys though

"Care" is a subjective term. I think they "care" in their own way. The problem is their public employment mentality. There aren't enough sharp knives around them to cut through the university fat they live on. Being comfortable, living in Lafayette, having a crew of old buddies to insulate them from people with true rage in their veins... just isn't conducive to risk and reward. For them, it is all about making it through the day, eating a lot, and planning the next red jacket dinner.

The answer, quite honestly, is whether Dr. S is made of the right stuff or not. He may not mind being laughed at.

Congrates to them on the win. Everyone that had an opportunity to watch some of that game witnessed two terrible offensive teams. Tech without Livas, is just average. NIU has zero talent and speed at the skilled positions. NIU had no business in any bowl game period.
I'm sure we will hear tomorrow that it was a sell out.

I think he meant "we" as in Cajun fans.

I was very unimpressed with both teams. Sloppy play, turnovers, stagnant offense, terrible passing, redzone stalls, etc..... But Tech appeared to suck a little bit less than NIU tonight and won the game so Congrats.

I flipped over to the game the last few minutes of the game. The announced attendence was 41,000. No way! No how! I saw a bunch of empty seats and the game could have gone either way so i wouldn't think that people would have left the game early.

I planned to watch but got caught up working on a couple of things and forgot all about it.

Had UL been invited I would have been there.

You are right that was too horrible offensive teams. That game was sloppy and hard to watch. The crowd was good at the beginning, but after half time it looked like alot of them left, there was wholes in the stadium everywhere. I didn't understand that because it was a close game the whole time.
    Anyways, Congrats to Tech.

that stadium has seats similar to the superdome which lie to cameras and make it look like there are people in them. When there were long views which the cameras shied away from, you could see just how many open seats there were. Also, the endzone was empty. So, just from the looks of the one side that they showed and the empty endzone, I would guess 30,000. 15000 from tech, 5000 from niu and the rest locals
