Hell, that PolyNeck logo looks like its blocking about a half dozen empty seats right there in the foreground.

Congrats on the win last night. Good looking uniforms. Good crowd. Too bad UL wasn't playing, but such is life.

But worse yet, it would have been exciting... and we would have throttled Tech. It looks like everything worked out just as Missy and Derek dreamed. Congrats... seriously. _
Unless it was expanded the stadium seats about 45K. I'd call the crowd a solid 30K, better than the 20K I expected, but not enough to justify going on someone else's board to crow about it.

did you miss the major expansion of the south endzone SEVERAL years back? Dont think anyone was crowing, rather, it was setting the record straight.

nobody would rather play usl than myself, however, that is a game to take place during the regular season and not one to take place in a bowl. Hope somehow we begin playing that game soon and I hope to see usl making regular stops in the New Olreans Bowl as the Belt champion.

Anyone know how may days till the 2009 football season starts???

We might not have had the I-Bowl committee, ET AL considered UL over NIU. In fact, we would have filled it up.

Just curious how that would ever happen. You get to count a FCS game every other year, so the SLU pick worked well, but on those "off" years, you would be more likely to schedule a bottom FBS team considered to be an automatic W. Think Dooley sees us this way?

Wasn't that done to accomodate all the local LSUAMCBR fans when they played the Fighting Irish?

As you stated in a later post... we aren't likely to ever get the chance to meet in a bowl ever again. That would have been seriously cool IMO. Dooley doesn't want regular season football with UL (and obviously not a bowl game), and I'm of the opinion we drop all athletics with Tech. Sorry, but I'm kind of sick of you guys.

UL needs to do some serious uplifts in football... realize its self-proclaimed potential... and maybe Tech will return in football with us in a couple of decades. I hope we do break thru with a substantial winning season in my lifetime... no doubt about it... but I doubt we will be "getting back" with Tech (you). We aren't good enough for Dooley's Tech.
