Kyle...you're not selling me. Just because you have a strong opinion...as you do on most things...doesn't mean it's the right one. Move on to something else. You're not winning this argument.

Btw...the guy that caused the trouble for my wife and me...he'd better be glad my wife cooled down. I think she could have taken him!!

In the overall context of the real world it was great theatre at it's best.

I have more respect for Justin Gabrielle than any other person that has ever worn a UL jersey & I know a lot of people who felt the same way about Wally Pontiff. These guys were the personification of what collegiate atheletics is all about. Not letting the young guys who played after them continue to compete against each other was stealing a building block in the character of those young men from them IMO.

The biggest culprits in all of this were the taildraggers who wanted to have a post game story to tell their buddies & blew a 6 ounce perch into a 40 ton whale. Is this shoe starting to fit anyone? In other words it's people who post ficticious fights that didn't occur, spiiting that was probably never done, etc. etc. etc. This naturally got back to both university presidents & atheletic administrators & put them in a no win position. I wish Tony & Skip could have gotten together & had a couple of beers & said hey man, that really wasn't so bad. In fact, when you think about it was pretty good. Let's do it again next year.

That's ok. I wasn't right about Spikes, Gauthier, the Big East, the Saints, Drew Brees, jake Delhome, or anything else either. In fact I've never been right about anything. It's a good thing Daddy bought me that butt whiping manual for my 33rd birthday.

You are correct about Justin Gabriel...

Beyond that you are calling my wife a liar on the spitting incident, which by the way in the article on the "Worst Fans" was reported to have happened by a&m undercover (dressed as Bama fans) girls... Then you are calling me a liar regarding the things that have happened (and yes I have admitted to being loud and not ltaking stuff (this being a family forum) so I guess i do bring out more venum than others)....

So take your pompos ass and face the east.... I thought from listening to you on the radio that you were not a bad dude...

    I was wrong

Listen up pal cause you & a few others need to hear this real good, just like several folks from the school across the swamp could use hearing this. After that little series I actually heard people calling Richard Condon & saying that people had pulled switchblades & brass knuckles on them at the game. What a tub of BS. These people on both sides of the fence were successful in their smear campaigns.

They managed to drive a wedge between the schools that lasted for about three years. I have not attended one UL or LSU baseball game from that weekend until today. Why? Not because of what happened on that field that day & not because of what happened in the stands that day. I haven't attended a single game because of the lies & BS people were telling that I knew would cause the schools to do what they ended up doing. Go back & look at the records of both baseball teams for the next three years & tell me what these people did were good for either school.

First off dont call me pal... pal.... again you are implying I am lying which assures me you have no idea what you are talking about....

Your experience may have been different... I have relayed accurately what I saw and what happened... again on that occasion not to me personally... others in this thread have relayed what happened to them...

In the end the a&m brass made the decision to suspend the series.. you can claim it was a mutual decision but rest assured, Tony would have played the next year...

So believe what you wish....its pretty clear you have a very high opinion of yourself

    Don't call me pal....pal? Don't call me UL@L.... A & M!

Were you one of the people claiming on the radio that someone pulled a switchblade or a pair of brass knuckles that Sunday?

I distinctly remember hearing Tony say the following week that they were not going to be playing LSU for a while after everything that happened so you are wrong there.

Once again, stick to the point. DID OR DID NOT LSU & UL BOTH go downhill for at least three years after they suspended playing each other? I haven't looked at the records so you have plenty of opportunity to use the facts to correct me if I am wrong.

My experience was a buch of clowns dressed up as fans of both schools that don't have enough maturity to know how to grow a rivalry, showed their little behinds after the event & caused the schools to have to act accordingly. Which IMO & the record show caused both schools to loose a competitive edge.

I have no idea what you are talking about....but that occurs quite often listening to you

I dont call radio shows... but why would I call an a&m radio show and claim UL fans pulled switch blades.... in fact I have never heard such a claim made... but I'm not saying it was not made because i dont listen to a&m radio...

I think it is a great stretch to claim the lack of playing had anything to do with the subsequent decline... on a&m's side probably had something to do with having a turtle as coach....

I will sign off now... I am in new york and have an early wake up call... so as they say.... you can have the last word......

    not that you wouldnt anyway

ok so i lied... wanted to make one more comment on your post.... Tony DID say what you said about not playing for awhile... Tony has been the peace maker throughout all of this and has a high regard to the almighty one.... skipper..... i dont have the great inside sources you do, but i can imagine a scenario where skip said.. we are not going to play for awhile and I'd like it to be a joint statement to that effect... and again Tony wanting to resurrect it down the road said ok..... thats my one problem with Tony... he is wayyy to accomodating to those folks..

now that is my last word... for tonite...

FYI, Condon had a local sports talk radio show on a Lafayette station at the time. He got run off because of comments he made against UL that week & I was on the air defending UL from trash talking LSU idiots just like I'm doing now except the other way around.
