    - Should be an immediate impact player and give 2004 ball club
    much needed team speed.

NOTE: There will be an additional 2-3 signees in the very near future.

NOTE: * Arizona Junior Colleges all use Baumbats (a form of a wooden synthetic bat which will decrease offensive numbers)
One player I hope Louisiana takes a look at is Adam Massiatte.

He is a right handed catcher that played some at 1st base.

For the last two years he attended Blinn Junior College TX where he ranked 15th in Texas in the number of walks 22.

I think the Texas connection needs to be nourished and Adam could be key.

At one point last year he had a 7 game hitting streak, although he hit .250

In 5 games he was the leadoff hitter and they went 4-1

ps Do you remember Danny Massiatte from the World series team? A real diamond in the rough.

Thanks Turbine, If I not mistaken there's another by the name of "Josh Corts or Corse," or something like that! I don't have any other details at this time......If I get any I'll pass it along.

Were any of the players listed picked early enough in the MLB draft to affect their committments?

I don't think so, from what I heard we should be safe. Unless what is wanted is a quick shot in the minors.

I have heard that Freddy Rodriguez does not appear to be eligible and that the Cajuns will indeed sign Adam Massiatte.

Also, Josh Williams of Central Private (BR)is a Cajun commitment. He was a RP / SS in high school.

Could you be thinking of John Coker, CF, Seminole St. College?

One player not on the list, but seriously considering UL was Chris Marini, LP/OF, Glendale (AZ)College. He was selected in the 10th round and has signed with Minnesota Twins.

    Really? Thanks for the update.

    Just a side step:

Spoke to Coach Robicheaux for a brief moment today I ask if he had any good news.......he said yes. He said Jordy would be back and recruiting went well, he only lost the centerfielder from Arizona to the draft, he seemed excited about that, also he would be releasing a listing of the players they have signed shortly. Had to get a baseball fix(going thru withdrawals).

Thanks I was worried about Jordy Templet playing in SARS country. I needed a fix too, I guess Austin Faught and the Rangers never came to terms. Was that the high school kid that went to Arizona?
