I'm all for a later start. Why not delay the start dates a month? Conference tourneys around July 4th would be great for college baseball in my opinion. A later start would also fill in many of the summer days with (currently) nothing to watch but professional baseball or golf.
Besides, I get tired or "freezing" my butt off at some of the early season night games at Tigue Moore.
I am for pushing the season back also. That would be one solution but I think there are better solutions. Why not cut the season down by a few weeks. Playing 45-50 games is plenty. I wish someone could do an analysis on how many players get hurt towards the end of the season due to the long season.
If everyone remembers, Ardoin did not pitch until our 3rd game in the conference tournament because of a sore arm. Then Kevin gets drafted & could possibly go pro & pitch even more this year. That could possibly lead to tremendous arm trouble.
I just think the season should be cut down by a few weeks.
