I'm considering going to Hawaii with the Baseball team next year. Does anyone have a dated schedule for 05. Please post any information that might be helpful.

I don't know of any dates, I could have asked coach on the radio this morning on the the Mr. Bitter show. It was very interesting with coach Robichaux.

Coach Robe felt going into the last game with MTSU that the winner would get an invite to the tournament.

What really caught my ear was when he said that if Middle Tenn. had beaten WKU in the championship game, Louisiana would have been invited.

This of course speaks to how strong the Sunblet is in baseball.

I do not think this would have been the case for Louisiana. If UL had beaten Middle Tennessee in that game and lost to Western Kentucky in the finals, I do not think that UL would have been taken and Middle Tennessee left out (despite UL winning the season series 4-2). A conference title is very important to the selection committee. Meanwhile, UL finished fourth in the conference. The NCAA would have had to take three for the Cajuns to get a bid (not going to happen this year). South Alabama also figures into the mix as they tied for first place (#2 seed) and defeated the Cajuns head-to-head.

I did not get to listen to the show, but I think this is wishful thinking. I think the Sun Belt would have had one team invited. The NCAA would have taken Houston before the Cajuns.

and barbecue after losing to Birmingham Southern this morning 5-0. Dissapointing showing for the at-large Blue Raiders after yesterday's 16-2 loss to Georgia.

Western Kentucky on the other hand can really make some hay with a win against Tulane today. Host Ole Miss is down 6-1 to Washington in the top of the 5th of their elimination game. This regional is wide open right now.

Jered Weaver was solid as usual, going eight innnings, yielding two runs (one earned), and scattering five hits to a powerful Stanford lineup. After recording two outs without yielding a baserunner in the ninth, Long Beach closer Neil Jamison was touched for four consecutive hits and yielded two runs before recording the final out for a 7-4 win. Lowrie, the tying run, took the final pitch deep to left before the fly ball was secured for the Dirtbag win.

Long Beach has their #2 (Cesar Ramos) available for the championship game tomorrow. Ramos would be an ace just about anywhere except LBSU.

the only thing i have is march 1-5, they are not giving any other dates on this schedule, but if you call the baseball office (try 482-6093)tina may have some dates for you, wish i could say i was going.
