rare ocassion for me on a sunday, but i wanted to say something about "fan day," i certainly hope that all of you realize what sacrifice the players who have moved on to the next level make when they agree to come back and play; Why you ask? well think about it.........one injury could wipe out their career; i don't think i need to call out the different possibilities, that is why they are to be commended, (we had a nice crowd but i was hoping for better) they don't have to do this, and you hoped people what know this and really support them and our boys, people tend to take things for granted and say, AW, this is not a real game, it's nothing bull *&%#, it is a big deal, i tell you the season started for me on fan day, that was my first game. "GEAUX CAJUNS."

Dam why wasn't this advertised? RaginCajun08 you are the best. Ron Guidry are you kidding me? I admit I haven't been by the forums lately. Paul Bako you can't make these things up. Why wasn't his on TV for a month? Phil Devy unbelievable. I'm sick, but RaginCajun08 is like pepto.

It was indeed a big thing for them to come in and help. I wished I could have attended but it was impossible for me. Now the folks in Lafayette could have at least come out for a little while. I know those same people who will drag their kids to a Mardi Gras parade in cold or inclement weather but will say it was too cold for the kids. Sometimes you gotta be tuff.

If people in NewYork City knew that Ron Guidry was going to be throwing in Lafayette Louisiana, I bet they would have flown down. WHY WASN'T THIS ADVERTISED?

Guess again WWD. I'd love to go down and see the Cajuns and Guidry but I wasn't quite willing to fly down to Lafayette for one afternoon. Wish I could've made it though sounds like everyone had a good time.

My friends & I had a GREAT time. Just like oldman said "one injury could wipe out their career". Perfect example is Aaron Boone. Tore up his knew playing basketball. Now he will more than likly be let go by the Yankees & I doubt he will be worth millions ever again.

This is probably why Bako did not play in the game. An injury would probably void his contract. Scott Dohmann, who is on the Rockies 40 man roster, probably has a similar stipulation in his contract.
