Microsoft has been a pioneer in workplace diversity and_it was one of the first companies in the world to offer employee benefits to same-sex domestic partners and to include sexual orientation in its corporate nondiscrimination policy. They even have an employee resource group—Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Employees at Microsoft (GLEAM) which now has more than 2000 members. In fact, Microsoft has earned a 100 percent on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index and the designation as a Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality for nine years in a row! Recently, Pride parades was conducted in London and Seattle. Microsoft employees participated in it to show their support and Microsoft as an organization also supported it with lots of resources.
