Those three seasons sprout the question; Why is this year so different?

Good coach, not a miracle worker. Deficit of natural ability, i.e. talent. The well has run dry.

I believe as an unpaid assistant he is limited to on-campus activities only, emails, snail mail, texts and phone calls, likely pitchers only, but just guessing. I'm not ready to lay the blame for this pitching staff at the feet of a volunteer coach. That would mean the paid staff are rubber-stamping his recruiting picks. I think it goes higher.

If I were him, I'd take the recruiting stuff off his bio.....

Like everything else now, so much of recruiting process is done online. There is video and detailed scouting reports of every player that wants to be recruited. I am sure he can scout. A lot depends on direction he gets from above.
