The shooting touch displayed by the UL men's basketball team in back-to-back blowout wins last week disappeared on Thursday night against Sun Belt foe North Texas.

After winning four of their previous five games, including four in a row at home, the Cajuns were off-line most of the night in a 78-64 loss. They shot only 37.9 percent in the first half and 40.7 percent overall. Only four of their 17 attempts from 3-point range found the bottom of the net.

UL (4-5 overall, 1-1 Sun Belt) looked out of sync offensively most of the night, finishing with only seven assists and settling too often for quick and ill-advised shots.
