He is holding firm right now on not making his final decision public. The Cajuns are in good shape and McNeese St is trying to sway him in their direction. He is going to make official visits to both programs and speak with the athletes about their experiences with the staff.

I was told by a cecilia alumni that he is leaning toward mcneese because UL is "too close". Does that sound relevant?

I wouldn't go making any calls being that it might be an NCAA violation. Something about boosters contacting recruits. Somebody help me out on this.

Didn't USC get invetigated by the NCAA for that. Something about Reggie Bush calling Joe McKnight?

The Cecilia people I have spoken with all tell me he is leaning towards UL because of how close it is to home. They say he is a hometown guy who does not want to move too far away from his family.

He has been told a few things about the staff by the competition and it will be cleared up soon. If he was a strong lean, he would have committed by now. I don't think 75 miles is far from home.

Absolutely true. You beat me to it. You may not contact the recruit directly with the intent of pushing towards a program or something like that. There is probably some time frame that is established but I wouldn't try to speak with him.
