EP made what turned out to be the game winning shot in the Pelicans win at Utah last night. Pelicans trailed by one with well under a minute to go when Randle missed a shot. Looked like Jazz would grab the rebound but a scramble ensued and Elfrid made a good play to grab the ball and hit a tough reverse layup. Jazz missed at the other end and Randle made 2 free throws for the final 3 point margin. I wonder if this is the first game winning shot for Elfrid in his NBA career.
Maybe but probably not
It is crazy how much better the Pelicans play when Elfrid is healthy. He is the perfect fit at PG for the high tempo scheme that Gentry likes to run.
With all of the changes surely to come for he Pelicans this off season, it will be interesting to see if Gentry and/ or Payton stay in NOLA for next season
The western conference isn't much better this year, if at all. This team has never played to the fullest of its abilities, even when healthy so I would say I disagree with your assertion. When playing well, they get hit with the injury bug OR they have this terrible tendency to lose to the bottom feeders of each conference. They are rarely consistent in other words. It would have been much better to see how this year would have turned out though.
We need draft picks. Guys who can come in and be a major contributor immediately but on Rookie salaries. Right now, its very tough to get veterans who want to play out a sizable part of their career in NOLA unfortunately and AD's saga didn't help. I wouldn't want any deal with Boston without Tatum and at least 2 first rounders.
just came across this stat. Did you know elfrid is tied for 13th most triple doubles among ALL active NBA players
