This only considers the at large years.

In 1982 they could have taken 7-3 UL, instead they took 6-5 Wisconsin and 6-4-1 Kansas State.

In 1989 they could have taken 7-4 UL, instead they took 6-5 Tulsa

In 1993 they could have taken 8-3 UL instead they took 8-3 Indiana and 8-3 Virginia Tech

In 2008 they could have taken UL . . .

If you look at it and think about it. Every year makes sence but this year. I would have gone the way they selected. This year you have the ex boss now running the show at a school you pick. How do you fight that?

Taking Kansas State (over UL) in 1982 was a complete and utter joke. Their teams were Balldwin like in the years leading up to that island of a 6 win season.

In 1989 we beat Tulsa and had Brian Mitchell. I am not sure that was a good decision on their part. What Turbine is saying here is that maybe we are justified in looking at stripping them of state funding.

What were the attendance in each year that UL could have gone?

We could always put the money we save into rolling back the renovations to Tiger Stadum, since those extra seats won't be needed much longer.

    1982 average 21,768
    1989 average 16,089
    1993 average 21,991

Another point: Those were the years the iBowl took equal or lesser teams. There were several other years they could have easily taken UL when UL was the lesser.

No they couldn't have none of that.
