Just out of view is Dooley pleading not to take a sun belt team. HAHAHA awesome.
Thats not Shreveport that's Ruston the only place on earth where the goofballs put up iron fences to keep you out of solid metal buildings.
In a vain attempt to try to find an active NIU board I found this on their scout.com board. Doesn't look like a whole lot of excitement up there. Does anyone know of an active board?
It appears the hotels are going all out to draw Huskie fans down.

RE: Independence Bowl Ticket Details Revealed
Greetings and congrats to being selected to the Independence Bowl. On behalf of the staff at the Holiday Inn Downtown Shreveport, we want to welcome you to Shreveport, Louisiana for those of you that will be traveling to support your Huskies. Be sure to check out our 6 casinos and the Louisiana Boardwalk while you are here.
If you are looking for a great room in the middle of the "Downtown Casino/Entertainment District, please check us out. Our website is www.holidayinn-shreveport.com. Or, you may call us directly at 318-222-7717. Our rates begin as low as $139.99 a night.
$139.99 to stay in Shreveport? *LOL*
I thought the Latexsters were going to hang around Shreveport, filling up the hotels, getting rowdy with alcohol elixir, and spending hours in the casinos enjoying the atmosphere and betting their last dollar. Then there would be no need to entice the midwestern folks to hang around for a couple of days following the game, and everything would be hunky-dory!
Or am I mistaken??
I just booked 2 nights in New Orleans for $180. Much better investment and a lot less of a chance I will get shot.

I think you're more likely to get stabbed or "shanked" (as the kids are calling it these days). Guns make too much noise, they bring attention and unwanted heat from the fuzz.
Or at least thats what I heard from a guy.
I'm only kiddingkind of.
Remember Husky fans, you've still got time to register for your gun permit in Louisiana so you can carry your weapon on your person. Good Luck.
