Don't care about Tech, UL only needs 13 total!!! If Tech was so Superior they would not have had the Independence Bowl Committee shun UL!!! Sounds like Tech is scared, Indy Bowl reps are playing Good ole boyz with Illinois legislators, and the City of Shreveport are plain NOT da Biznest peeps at taul!!!!!!

RCAF, Stadium additions(softball, baseball, and football), increased funding from NEW University President/Admin. and the Cajun Nation Growing, and the Giant HAS Awakened!!!!

I'm beginning to believe all of the stuff you keep mentioning will never happen. It's been 4 years since the advertisement screen at Congress and Bertrand was mentioned....still nothing.

RCAF...1 year later, nothing. Baseball, softball, one year later, nothing. Nothing has changed.

No it has not been 4 years 2 is more like it. The sign is on hold per Mr. Walker due to some contractual differences with Cox.

No specific time for announcing the baseball, softball, football, and RCAF have been mentioned. Remember these things if to be done right take some time and having a new president come in things were put on hold to have him oversee these renovations and additions.

Things are happening, look at some of the major things in the past several years: Track and Field/Soccer, Indoor Practice facility, Lourdes Park at Baseball, Baseball 1st and 3rd Base line Bleachers, Tennis Two story Building, New Mens and Womens Basketball Floors, Sports Lounge in Long Hall, New Football Locker Rooms, Weight room renovations and new equipment, New Wet area and training rooms, new equipment offices, New Football Turf, etc Just to name some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So be patient, to say things are not happening fast enough I understand, but these things take alot of planning.

Had some of the kids at the game with Grand paw and Grand maw last night, the rest of us intended on making the 2nd half of the game but to travel from Erath to the Cajundome took longer than I thought and we missed out!

Will be at the rest of the games this week though! Hope to see you there!

Not according to Scout.com. I thought I'd read on here quite some time ago about this guy (Horace Miller) having some relative or other connection to the Lafayette area.

Scout never corrected it. We don't recruit the DC area. He was offered by ULM.

OK, thanks for the correction. Why don't we recruit from the DC area? I used to live up there and know there are some quality players in the region. I guess it is 2 things: recruiting budget and coaching connections. We don't have the budget to get out beyond our targeted out-of-state areas (TX & FL). And our coached probably don't have a lot contacts up there (aside from Trigger! ).

$105,000 recruiting budget is the main reason. You need double that just to spread out further then the Miami, Florida Panhandle, Louisiana and Texas.
