Jordon Alexander surveys the charred remains and rubble Tuesday of what was his family home before a Monday afternoon fire.

Jordon Alexander, wearing some of the only clothes he had left, was dismayed Tuesday at his loss, but nevertheless grateful that no one was hurt in the fire that destroyed his family home Monday afternoon.

Alexander was at his off-shore job when alerted about the fire in bin the house occupied by his fiancee, Angel West, and their two children, ages 4 and 5.

None of them were hurt in the blaze that roared through the house, kindled by decades-old dry wood in the walls.

The house was the residence of the late Gerald and Lyeullen Daigle.
