As of 6 Sunday night UL's football was one of four teams being considered for an at-large slot in the Motor City Bowl on Dec. 26 in Detroit, according to that bowl's executive director Ken Hoffman.
Hoffman told The Daily Advertiser that UL, Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic and San Jose State are being considered to play Central Michigan in the bowl.
"We have four schools to select from, unless one accepts another bowl opportunity," Hoffman said. "We are very close to making a decision, but can't do anything until Western Michigan's bowl decision is made official."
Yes I do...So your saying that if FAU went winless we still had to beat them? Things change in the Belt every year and the fact is we had a better Conference record then they did and would bring more fans then Atlantic. I know what you are getting at and to some point I agree w/ you. It's just hard to understand why we are in the position were in...
Well, i think my point about our conference rankings is made by virtue of what just happened. And no, I don't think that if FAU goes even 5-7 that they are even in this conversation, for obvious reasons. I just really really really don't think we can rationalize this as if bowl selection committees have rules to follow according to conference ranks, they pounded us plain and simple on the field.
