Why is no one talking about this II

Seems like a good guy, hope he does well at UL. But I'm curious as why you believe this to be a big deal? He was hired to replace Ken Winstead, who has been gone for some time now. Ken, had a great resume and proven background in fundraising, much more experienced in comparison to Stewart. I'm just curious because we found a young man that is willing to take the position, but with far less of a resume.

I guess the fact that his bio pretty much mirrors what everyone around here wants for UL doesn't mean much. Everyone has a lesser resume at some point.

TAMU is not in the Big XII, and Houston has long since been out of SWC. No doubt he is not the line to the Big XII.

Not sure what that has to do with anything. I don't think the hire was made because of "Big XII" ties, but he was there while they were in the Big XII, built relationships with other Big XII schools and was in Houston whenever the fallout happened.

No, you have a right to your opinion! I just wanted to know where you were coming from, that's all. If he succeeds, we all should be excited. I looked at his resume when I first met him and knew he was young and willing to take the position head on. I guess I was just hoping for someone that had a more prominent background and resume. But now that he is on board, let's hope he will be successful and now they can focus on hiring an RCAF Fundraiser.

this board can be crazy if they would have hired an old guy a bunch of people on here would have called him a fossil and said it was the same ol same ol they hire a new guy young guy and now you're saying he's too young for the job let's just be happy that we have somebody in place and see what he does

The inference was the hire was a plan to get involved with the Big XII. I am sure he has ties, very low end stuff with other Big XII low end employees, nothing to get worked up about.
