I actually saw another post about 20 minutes later that linked the Houston Fox station website which had the bad news. I wanted to cry too.

Yeah but you went 20 minutes....I went ALMOST 3 hours thinking we were in a bowl!!!!!! I had no clue what was going on, b/c my cell phone had died and I was not at home to log on from there.

Brad's dad post is what sealed it up for me, made the reservations for a few nights and all just like so many others. Something happened that changed the deal at the last minute, not sure if we'll ever know for sure, but then again win 7 and we're not having this conversation!

I'm with you on this one. When I read that, I was booked two nights in Houston. Oh well, cancelled the room and now I'll just spend my money in this state (room in New Orleans Dec 26th and 27th). If only everyone supported our state like we do. I just can't imagine the emotional swing of the players thinking they were in and then finding out they weren't.

Gbbaseball7 where are you now? What happened? And how are they players feeling about this whole situation. I can only imagine how down they feel right now. But I, for one, have nothing but respect and pride for them. They played with effort, integrity and heart. Thanks seniors.

I sure hope Gbbaseball7 doesn't think we are upset with him for the post. It was all in the way this unfolded. It had to be extremely painful for our players and I imagine their parents as well. This was definitely a character testing year. We will all choose whether to let this bring us down or stiffen our resolve. I will work on the latter.

Gbbaseball7, let us hear you and Brad are doing ok. Please don't get down on us for venting in all the strange ways. We don't know what to do with ourselves sometimes.

Definitely we don't blame you. You were just trying to spread the good news. Unfortunately, the situation changed suddenly. We are all upset about the turn of events, not the messenger. I hope you don't feel like we are upset with you. I hope to see a fired up Brad take control of the offense next year! Best of luck to him and the rest of the team (and parents, too!).
