I know it sucks for the Cajuns' Bowl chances if ASU wins, I get that.

But would this be an SBC championship for the team? _

Yes, if ASU wins we'd technically be in a 3-way tie and would all be co-conference champs. But having already done that a couple years ago, I'd rather be a bowl winner than to technically have a piece of a championship and miss out on postseason play.

Thats correct, but it would probably eliminate our chances of making a bowl game because ASU will now be 7-5 and would get a bowl game before us.

I had always liked our games with Tech and considered them our biggest rival. However, given the attitude expressed by their AD earlier in the year when announcing that they wouldn't play monroe because they consider themselves more elite, the fact that they keep giving excuse after excuse not to schedule a regular season game and now the reports that they are telling the Indy Bowl that they do not want to lower themselves to play a SunBelt team, I think we and every other SunBelt school should immediately cancel all currently scheduled games with them in all sports and refuse to schedule any future games. Let them take their "elite" baseball team, volleyball, basketball, etc on some nice long, revenue gobbling bus trips in search of opponents worthy of being graced by their "elite" presence.

Growing up I never really had a reason to hate La Neck (i'm 25). We've played them in Football a few times and every year in Baseball and the past few years in basketball. Look I'm all for creating an image for your program and all but they are out of control with their "We don't want to lower ourselves", elitest bravado that they have adopted in the last couple of years. The funny thing about it is that La Tech won't "lower" to our level but Illinois, Nebraska, LSU, Georgia, and Ok. St (who we've got at home) will stoop to our level for a regular season game.

Which leads me to believe that behind closed doors they don't want to play us or any sunbelt school because if they lose, their "elite" status has a very big hole in it. So when it comes down to it, we know AND they know that they know that they ARE afraid to lose to a Belt team. Look in their own conference, i'd rather lose to Troy than to Ut. St. or New Mex St.

La Neck has officially become my most hated athletic program pushing UNo back to the 2 spot.
