You want ASU to win so you are co-champs.
You want Arizona State to lose and free up Hawaii so Notre Dame will go there instead of Houston.
Indy isn't taking a Sun Belt team.
PapaJohns isn't taking a Sun Belt unless its 7 win Troy.
Houston isn't taking ASU over UL.
Arkansas State winning or losing has zero impact except on whether you get champion rings.
Arizona State winning probably ends your season no matter what happens at Troy today.
Do you predict that WMU goes to the indy? I think that is the only way that they wouldent take a SB team in your scenario unless by some miracle, NC State forgoes the 2 bowl games closer to home (papajohns and motor city) to go to Shreveport. If they don't take a SB team, the options are NIU and Bowling green and why on earth would they sacrifice attendance and game hype just to keep a SB team out.
Mark, you can't tell me that another program going 7-5 and getting a automatic bowl slot benefits the Cajuns. Right now,a Troy win and Arizona win benefits the Cajuns period. Troy going to PappaJohn would send NC State to the Texas Bowl. Of course that would be if Notre Dame opts for Hawaii.
I didn't say the PapaJohn bowl is in play for us, but it certainly is in play for NC State. A NC State vs Rutgers game would be very attractive to PappaJohns. If Troy does not win tonight, they have accepted a bid to the PappaJohns. This is not good for the Cajuns, because that would leave the Texas Bowl as a option for NC State. So again, a ASU win tonight does not benefit the Cajuns. I think I made my point clearer in this post.
