So what exactly are you looking for in........."the commercial"?
I am looking for a balance about 3 ways ---heavy high tech with Cajun bot, our world renowned engineering dept, and the lite center showing quickly some of it's work----secondly food, music, and social atmosphere with some great footage---thirdly a great look on Football with 3-d of Feroy coming out of the screen and quick shot of our pros!!!!
I hate to get too heavy into this subject(mainly because I am not passionate about it). My only beef is that it seem to have a low production value. FWIW, I like Boomer's ideas.
I don't imagine our name LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE is helping us. Bowl's generally want teams with name identity to the general public. Our perception, name-wise, is not good. I know most people don't seem to care about this and I am always harping on it, but if we do get into a bowl, what better time for UL to insist on the LOUISIANA and UL reference by the bowl and the media. They will call us what we tell them to call us. It can all change with this one bowl game.
I don't know that they will. There is no identity problem between Louisiana Tech and Louisiana, like Texas and Texas Tech. ULM has a stake in the name issue. However, they have settled on ULM. LSU might rear its ugly head, but it might be too late if the bowl and network pick up on Louisiana. UL has been slowly moving in that direction over the past year. Just look at the media releases, especially now for basketball. The timing could not be more perfect.
