UL expects to pick up its third football commitment for the 2009 signing class this weekend in Texas native Austin Fitzpatrick, a tight end and deep-snapper from Friendswood High outside Houston.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder spoke earlier in the week on the phone with UL head coach Rickey Bustle and assistant Hurlie Brown about his decision.

Fitzpatrick, who has 540 receiving yards and nine touchdown catches this year, will likely make a public commitment Saturday after his team's Class 4A regional semifinal playoff game against Beaumont Central.
