Southern Mississippi used to do better than this. With Troy probably headed to the Papajohns Bowl, Louisiana-Lafayette is one of three Sun Belt teams battling for this berth. _

Don't people read, Troy is going to New Orleans by beating Ark. State. They only go to Birmingham with a loss.

The Papajohns Bowl ditched C-USA for the SEC this year, but it will have to settle for Louisiana-Lafayette of the Sun Belt since the SEC doesn’t have enough eligible teams. Rutgers has won five in a row and could still end up in the Meineke Bowl by beating slumping Louisville.

When is everyone going to learn that NBC projections are a joke? For a network that only covers ND what would you expect? All season it is obvious that they have put little to NO thought in the "lesser" bowl games. Up until a few days ago they had us in New Orleans still....get with it NBC!!!
