Default TICKET PRICES IF WE GO BOWLIN'

So we want to go bowl'in? The impact of the current economic downturn has been felt at every turn, yet college football fans hardly seem fazed. Look for high demand for bowl tickets to stay consistent with last years prices. The BCS Championship game continues to dominate the list as the hottest ticket of the postseason. Come Sunday evening, college football fans will know where their team is headed. Cajun fans who have been howling for a bowl may get their chance to sell 10-15,000 tickets at some hefty prices. The quesiton is: **IF**we get a bid, who will be willing to anti up? ...which is, in the real world of collegiate athletics, the separator between the "wanna be's" and the "already got-it's."

Prices are based on average market value ticket prices in the secondary market. The secondary market is comprised of over 800 ticket brokers, and all of the fans who are selling tickets throughout the country they do not intend to use. The 1st price is the average projected price this week, with the 2nd price being what it was in 2007. The third price is what the closest secondary broker is using as a 2008 starting price.

I will be there! I graduate this year, and the greatest graduation present I could receive would be to see my cajuns play in a bowl game live for the first time in my LIFETIME! It could be in alaska, and I'd be there!

That list was created by someone with an agenda. Long ago, I learned to never worry about ticket prices to these things.

'05: I foolishly paid the $75 face value for the Capital One Bowl...I also ended up eating 2 front row tix on the 25, because the only offers for my extras was $35 for the pair from a scalper.

'06: NO Bowl was $50 for a pair of tix plus parking

'06: Peach Bowl was $65 for a pair plus shipping and parking (Lower level)
'07: SEC Championship, again I foolishly paid face value to ensure a seat. I think it was $125 for my ticket in the nosebleeds...to disheartedly watch scalpers unloading them at kickoff for $25/ticket.

'07: Meineke Bowl $100/pair face value. But, had I paid attention or wanted to bargain shop, I'm sure I could've saved some money.

Obviously the BCS games are an expensive weekend, but the second and especially the third tier bowls are very inexpensive means of entertainment...which is why I get a kick out of people who cite a playoff system as a means for equality and wealth distribution. other than the 8 or 16 teams that get invited, you won't be able to give away tickets to bowl games for the other 35 bowl eligible schools.

I don't know where you got your figures, but the ticket prices on the bowls website's are alot cheaper than what is in that chart. Papajohn's and independence bowl cheapest tickets are $35 and $30, respectively, and the texas bowl is $75. I don't care if they are nose bleed tickets, I'll buy the and plan to be there!!!!! I have the RV gased up and ready to head in any direction. Hopefully do a little tailgating just like here at home. Can't wait for the invite, Houston would be great, but will take anything that comes our way.

As a holder of "season" tickets to the bowl - the seats between the 20's on both sides of the stadium are basically held by local bowl season ticket holders - (basically 20,000+ chairbacks)

Tech was given a ticket allotment of 12,000 and of those seats - ONLY 1,500 were chairbaks (between the 20's) the rest were sideline and endzone (south)

Look for the same allotment to be given to the Cajuns if you are invited...
