_ MT misses a 46-yard field goal with 52 seconds left in the first half. CAJUNS take one last shot with 8.5 seconds and Des gets the INT for his trouble, but the half is over. So far so GOOD!!!

    MT 14
    UL 21 HALF. _

Actually, the referee was signaling an incomplete pass. I think the defender came down out of bounds. Not that it really matters, though; the result is the same.

Your right. We had pretty good field position. It looks like they were content on taking it in for the half and not making a big mistake. With our passing game, I think they made the right choice.

Geaux Cajuns, Take it to'em the second half!

They are actually showing the game on our cable up here in Wisconsin. Geaux Cajuns! One question though. Why do they have the cameras on the home side of the field showing the empty visitors side during the game telecast?? They should have the cameras on the other side showing the full stands on the home side. Just my 2 cents!

I don't know. We had over a minute with good field position and the win at our back. We needed about 25 - 30 yards for a possible field goal. I don't understand why we didn't throw the ball. Heck, throw a screen or crossing pattern, use some creativity. We started the game that way, then got right back to our conservative play calling.

Our defense is what concerns me. Still suspect, even though we made a few good stops. If we win this game, bowl or no bowl, Bustle will be retained. The question is, what does he do with some of his defensive coaches, because our defense has been just horrible this year, again. Even before we lost our linebackers, we weren't good, at least statistically. Defense has got to improve next year. That is what is keeping us from a winning record and possibly out of a bowl game.

There are likely bowl reps at the game and we look pretty good overall. At least our offensive is getting back in gear. UL needs to score more points and win this game to make us attractive to a bowl. We are the only team in the country this year with 2 1,000 yard rushers and I think we can sell what will be the required tickets if we are playing at a close bowl game like Houston, Shreveport or Birmingham. We still have a shot if we can win this game.

Here we go again. We had them deep at the 13 and third and long and they get a first down. Two big plays and they are at mid field. We can't tackle anybody. This is terrible coaching. Our defensive coaches need a LONG look after this season. That has been our achilles heel every year.

You know our guys are suppose to be playing for a possible bowl game. Right now it looks like we deserve to be right where we are.

3rd and 13 and they get a first down. Then, a dropped easy interception. And then an easy pass for a td. This drive may define our entire season. No excuse for our defense playing so poorly.
