For the soccer folks out there, what are our chances against Germany? I swear some look like grandchildren from that Aryan master race factory the NAZI's had.
It's hard to say, because a lot depends on tactics. I'm worried we may slip up and get caught being too aggressive early, and lose something like 2-0.
But if it's tied at about the 70-75 minute mark, both teams are staring elimination in the face if they come forward too much and get caught.
So the key is the start.
Plus, if Portugal scores early, the USA can afford to be in a lot more defensive posture.
Plus, Germany only needs a tie to win the group. If the US can score one early, it's very likely going to be a draw. If Portugal scores one early, it's very likely going to be a draw.
The field is another factor. Germany won't be able to string together all those pretty passes. I think the sloppy field helps us.
So I guess what I'm saying is I have no idea. LOL
I'm just trying to figure out how to watch it at work in my office....
Does the monsoon conditions favor us or the Germans?
I know most of you probably don't follow Houston Dynamo soccer, but Brad Davis is a starting today. He is the "star" for the Dynamo as a midfielder. He also is excellent at corner kicks.
