    Default Gameday

I'm getting ready to head out and head over to Lafayette for the game. You guys stop whining about everything and get your butt to the game. I'm getting more sick about the crybaby attitude of my fellow Cajun fans than I am about anything else. Shut up and make things happen if you want them to happen. Victim society... damn!

Have fun and bring us a W!!!!!!!!!

BTW, people are entitled to voice their displeasure when something goes wrong...and boy did this decision go wrong. I challange you to give one positive this Wed game has over a Saturday tilt. Remember, we are trying to get into a bowl game. If you think this helps our cause you are sadly mistaken.

We are the ONLY game in the NATION being played tonight!!! Not that anyone will know, but there is your positive.

For the ESPN ticker, we will be the ONLY score on the bottom of the screen in the NCAA FB section tonight!

The thread wasn't an endorsement of a "Wednesday night game". I think half this forum would stand in line all night long, indefinitely, to drop a complaint in the complaint box, but wouldn't dare just support the football program. That said... I do think this is a great forum for venting and sharing ideas... and I expect a lot of them to be criticisms.

I didn't "like" the game being on a Wednesday night one bit. But, I think it is like complaining that "my my potato is sitting too close to my filet... take it back to the kitchen".

I don't (being that I drove over from Baton Rouge) find that it was much of an "inconvenience" to any Lafayette area resident. Heck, I have friends that are more available on a week night than on a Saturday. You make excuses or you don't in my opinion.

We had no other Saturday football games to compete with (for everyone who dearly believes that thousands of LSU fans descend on Cajun Field when LSU doesn't have an opposite game). I watched football on Saturday, ate, drank, socialized and found plenty of fun things to do... and when the weekend was over... I got to thinking "wow... and now I still have Wednesday to see Cajun football... cool".

I'll stick with my line of thinking... too many people are turning into candy-azz chronic complainers who search high and wide for an excuse. I dislike excuses only slightly less than the people who use them. But, I am a generous person and I'm willing to give them instructions on how to stop being a victim.

You don't really think that, do you? I understand hyperbole, but c'mon...

Your POV that most of america is a bunch of "why me?" complainers is shared by most on this board. Lemme guess, you voted for Obama?

I like your analogy of the baked potato too close to the steak.
But I think this situation is more "I ordered medium well, and this steak is medium rare." Then, since I realized the cook might spit in my food, I chose to complain quietly to my wife about the undercooked steak instead of to the waiter. As I ate it, to my surprise, I found medium rare wasn't so bad. It was actually good! And overall, it was a great meal, despite the questionable service.

That's your metaphor for winning on a wednesday night with no TV, as I watched the game from my computer screen. An unexpected treat.

I had my steak and ate it too last night (2 pregame tube steaks). What a great night of dining at Cajun Field.
