Thread: UL baseball planning to reload

  1. UL Baseball UL baseball planning to reload

His 2014 Super Regional club picked apart by the Major League Baseball Draft and eligibility expiration, the last thing UL baseball coach Tony Robichaux wants is for his 2015 team to think it must live off the legacy.

Rather, he wants it to regroup. He wants it to reload, with junior-to-be shortstop Blake Trahan guiding the way. He wants it to rediscover all that went into making the Ragin' Cajuns' season what it was.

This upcoming team WILL have talent.

No beards, they have to forge their own identity. Coach Robe talked at length about those, and other issues on Jay's show yesterday.

We have a lot to look forward to the next 3 years. I think this epic year is going to kick start an epic run

Next year we will likely take a big step back, but with the talent coming in, it's not inconceivable to still compete for a conference title next year. Once they have time to gel and improve this could be another solid team in the following season.

Big step back as in 45 wins. The roster is pretty salty.

I hope your right, but the roster is pretty untested and inexperienced as well.

I am thinking 40+ wins and another Rrgional showing.

I'd be happy with 40 and deep postseason. You just have to get to the tourney, after that anything can happen. Who knew we would beat South Carolina in 99. Kennesaw St, college of charleston ring a bell. Just get there and who knows!
