2008 Bowl Season Louisiana Snubbed by Indi Bowl

Since December 21st will be the 107th anniversary of UL's first ever football game, I was hoping for a December 21st Bowl game (NO Bowl)

Now that this doesn't seem possible, a visit to the town that was the site of UL's first ever Bowl game 65 seasons ago would be nice. Houston.

When is everyone going to learn that NBC projections are a joke? For a network that only covers ND what would you expect? All season it is obvious that they have put little to NO thought in the "lesser" bowl games. Up until a few days ago they had us in New Orleans still....get with it NBC!!!

Been reading rumors most of the morning. Source that confirms it?

  Sometime today, Western Michigan will announce it's playing in the Independence Bowl on Dec. 28, in Shreveport, La., or that it's headed to the Motor City Bowl, Dec. 26 in Detroit.

Technically, there are still other possibilities, but it'll be one of these two, likely to be determined no later than early this evening.

Bottom line, if Ball State heads to the GMAC Bowl to face Tulsa, WMU or Central Michigan is going to the Motor City Bowl. The other is an at-large team, likely headed for the Independence Bowl.
