Do you predict that WMU goes to the indy? I think that is the only way that they wouldent take a SB team in your scenario unless by some miracle, NC State forgoes the 2 bowl games closer to home (papajohns and motor city) to go to Shreveport. If they don't take a SB team, the options are NIU and Bowling green and why on earth would they sacrifice attendance and game hype just to keep a SB team out.
They think in their own like psycho world that the GMAC or St Pete is going to save them from having to play a sunbelt team by trading a CUSA team to the indy and open their bowl. My question is, if the NCAA would be willing to bend to allow this kind of situation for the Indy bowl, why wouldent they bend to allow UL into NO and troy to papajohns. I'd expect us in the NO bowl if the Indy bowl is allowed to trade bowl opponents.
Cox channel 37 also has the game in Lafayette
This is not true, we are pulling for Troy IF we want a chance to get to a bowl game. If ASU wins, Troy can give up the NO bowl for a better bowl and ASU would go to the NO bowl because they would be 7-5. If Troy wins, Troy must go to the NO bowl and ASU would be 6-6, therefore the Cajuns would look more appealing to bowls such as the Independence Bowl.
