2008 Bowl Season Louisiana Snubbed by Indi Bowl

_ That's one reason I dont give much weight the the fact that Troy must go to the New Orleans Bowl if they are the only 7-5 team. The NCAA by-laws state they must, but weirder things have happened in the past. What it all boils down to is the fact that the NCAA has plenty of rules and by-laws, BUT they can change them whenever and however they want. _

If Troy finishes 7-5, then they won't go to the NO Bowl because ASU would get the nod. But if Troy is the conference champion, then they are obligated to go to the NO Bowl, because no 6-6 Sun Belt program can.

Fixed it to say 8-4. I've typed and 7-5 enitrely too many times lately. But my point isn't debating the rules, I was just pointing out that the NCAA does whatever they want.

I'm not saying we shouldn't try to do it. But I bet that the Bowl shirts would say "Louisiana Tech vs. Louisiana-Lafayette."

Why do I feel this way? Because I've never bought a UL tournament shirt that didn't say UL Lafayette/Louisiana-Lafayette.

Other factors, published reports of accomplishments:
1st QB/RB to both gain over 1,000 yds rushing in two consecutive years
amount of big play TDs in yr. (over 50 yds)
Where we are ranked nationally with our offense.
Where players are ranked nationally, Des, Tyrell, Chery

This will bring TV ratings up, peopl;e will want to watch.

Then the match ups, two wide open high scoring temas will help here.

Then of course fans going to the game.

That is only because our SID did not give them a clear message on what to call us. We are Louisiana Lafayette unless directed otherwise.
