One week after winning its first game of the season, the UL men's basketball team returns to the court tonight against an old in-state rival. The Cajuns (1-3) will try to end a two-game losing streak to McNeese State (2-2) at 7:15 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader at the Cajundome.
This will be the 83rd meeting between the two programs. UL has played more games against only Louisiana Tech (165) and Northwestern State (138) in program history.
"We definitely consider this to be a rivalry game," said Cajuns coach Robert Lee. "(McNeese State) coach (Dave) Simmons and I are going to play every year because we think it's good for both programs and both sets of fans.
