There are no other acceptable alternative references to my university or my teams and I do not and will not apologize for correcting others when they do not make the correct references. I have done so on dozens of message boards around the country and in emails and phone calls to networks, media outlets, websites and other places where my university's teams are mentioned. I don't have a problem telling our story to university presidents, athletic directors, sports information directors, conference commissioners, conference media directors, alumni associations of other universities and coaches of other teams while explaining to them why they should reference us as "Louisiana." You would be surprised at how many are receptive to the message.

I am not going to change what I do and to whom I say it. My message isn't going to change and it will be effective. I don't care who's on board with me or who's against me. Those of you who want to work with me, you are welcome to do so. The victory will be sweet.
I don't often agree with you, but this is spot on. Our fans and students have adopted the use of UL and we should not change that.

I love the U U U UL chant because it originated with students.

The administration has already stated that the correct abbreviation for the school is UL-L it is not UL or any other abbreviation. Let the fans do the UL chant and the hand symbols, It's good to believe. The fact is that the administration backed off the UL train and now uses UL-L. Espn will never use UL as long as the administration says it is ok to use UL-L

We need to think outside the box to become known as Louisiana. Great we put Louisiana on everything lets raise the bar and make ESPN use UL, LU, or Louisiana.

Just a snarky way of pointing out that we have been fighting that battle with ESPN for years. We've had numerous threads here about it (hence the posts from some complaining that they are tired of hearing about it) and if it is effective. FWIW, I believe it is worth it.

Why keep beating on the door when we can go through the window.

We don't need any of our football jerseys to say anything but "Louisiana" on the front!

Andre', watch and wait. I hope I am wrong, but dollars to donuts TJoe buckles at the knees and doesn't offend "big lots U"

He and Bruno are boys from way back. Too much "Fossil politician" in his blood to do it any other way.

We need to keep "Louisiana" front and center. And keep taking care of business. Keep winning, keep enrollment up, stay the course. Our fan base has this name thing covered, T-Joe just needs to manage the rest. ULMost is headed down the same path McNeese took..._____ envy on name fight and trying to be me2u while private funding shrinking. Bruno is akin to Nero, playing to the fans while they're hanging by a thread. Think about all that a minute. Maybe T-Joe sees a bigger picture/battle we all don't.

The self proclaimed puesdo flagship (per their president) UNO takes another big hit. Slowly the flies will drop.

If our jerseys say anything buy LOUISIANA the blowback T-Joe receives from alumni will be swift, severe and relentless.
