    Must have been really ready to go. Can't be that lucrative that late in the draft. Nonetheless, I'm happy for him and hope he does well.

    That is our entire weekend staff (Aut, Carson and Boutte), will be interesting to see how the weekend starters lineup next year.

    Drafted Ragin' Cajuns starting pitcher Carson Baranik has decided to forego his senior season at UL and instead will sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he suggested on his Twitter account.

    The Dodgers selected Baranik, the Sun Belt Conference's Pitcher of the Year and a third team Louisville Slugger All-American, in the 33rd round of last week's Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

    I think his age has something to to do with his decision. I read that he is 22. That probably was a big part of his reasoning.
