Actually, I've been trying to figure that out myself. Our board shows as 30x54 (1620 sqft) and ASU's was announced as 32x50 (1600 sqft). My only guess was they added in an fixed digit auxilliary board for score/time/TO's and other stats, but that portion isn't an HD screen.

ASU is also installing 4 fixed digit displays, each 8ft by 32ft that will be placed at each end of the field and in each locker room. It will show time, score, TO's remaining, and other stats which isn't HD displays

I think UL will add as they see the need with the stadium expansion

I just want some replays! Is there some rule that prohibits replay of reviewed calls? I cannot remember one time where we saw the video replay that the refs were looking at.

Just fired off the question to a few people that would know (via Twitter).

I do not know if there is a rule, but you can bet they do not want a riot for the idiot calls. You will not be seeing reviewable calls IMO.

And just like that, it was answered.

Old rule was you could play a controversial play once in real time. I'm hearing that the rule may have changed. My guess is it can be played more than once, but still only in real time, no slow-motion.

Thanks Doug. You're OK. For a GaSt guy.😁

Any idea if one person can operate the scoreboard? I'm sure the ads are computer timed but curious about the rest.

LMAO... I'm only a GA State guy at the puter... on the air, I'll give love to all SBC teams (except for Bobby Marlin, cause he got mad at a joke I passed along earlier this year and blocked me).

As far as the scoreboards... according to my Georgia Southern contact, their's will require six computers to operate it. Since your's is nearly twice the size, I imagine it'll be between 6-8 computers.

That being said, they're all designed to work together as a collective unit, while still serving up different stuff at different intervals. Typically you'll want 1-3 people working together on this.
