Where did I rate him at all? It isn't hard to go up from zero. I'll wait and see what he does with all this success before I grade him good or bad. If you want to give him a 10, give him a ____in 10 I don't care.

We have overflow viewing for baseball games. We just put ESPN announcers in a friggin duck blind for god sakes.

I guess I'll just be perturbed until the funding for baseball is in place. This seems to be a great time to push for money.

That is what an AD is for. To capitalize on our success and utilize this opportunity NOW !!!! But im sure Scott Farmer is gonna blow it.

Hasn't he capitalized on past success by launching the master plan NOW? Or are you going to credit that to someone else since you despise Farmer?

I'm glad it's getting done and I'll give him credit that it's in the process but did everyone forget what happened to get us to this point?

As was the immediate aftermath of all three bowl games but nothing really happened there. And we still have a vacant fundraising position (though the blame for that likely lies elsewhere or us at least shared).

Also, in addition to Robe and Mike both being here before Farmer, keep in mind that he thought he could replace Mike with someone better in season within a matter of days. (Thankfully that was resolved with Mike staying.) He was involved with the hiring of Hud and Marlin even if he wasn't the AD so he gets some credit there.

He has been involved in the facilities improvements so that's a positive. However, there have been missteps along the way. And he was AD when the debacle of the failure of the Tigue renovations occurred all while telling everyone it would happen at season's end only to then announce it wouldn't. That was a huge cluster____ and embarrassment to a great coach like Robe.

And then there is the brutalized horse that is conference realignment and hyphengate. And let's not forget the wetting of the pants whenever Bruno is around (although that may be more TJoe).

I give him a 4, I mildly pleasant beat but you can't dance to it.

The fact that he went out of his way to speak to me the last two weekends bumps that 4 to a 6 for me... This poll is fluid... The last 9 months have been lights out for us, totally awesome.
The next 90 days will tell us a lot.

Who gives a ____?! We are going in the right direction. What happened in the past cannot be changed. He is doing a better job now and we are firing on all cylinders. Like I originally said, some of you are never going to be satisfied. If you aren't giving game changing money, which I believe 99.9% of this board is not, get off his back.

No one could reach some of your expectations working in the red. I guarantee you that if he could hire a fundraiser, it would have been done. You have money, academia and the state legislature standing in his way everything he tries to do. He has room for improvement but some of you claiming he hasn't done anything good are fooling yourselves. I'm sure every aspect of your business is handled solely by you....

i already said he is lacking crazy, you put the guidelines for what you thought he should be based off of, and by those measures he has done everything you are expecting of an ad (improvements underway, securing funds, rcaf incline and tickets on the rise)
to me that is just part of it. if football, basektball, baseball, etc does well it should also reflect on the AD (as only part of it)
the last part, which i think he has not done a good job at all is putting a foot in the ground and saying we are LOUISIANA and our marketing/capital campaign direction. he needs to improve on that a great bit. i havent rated him either, and if i were i'd say between 6 and 7.

as for the tigue mis steps a couple years ago, i dont blame him to much for that. a donor came forward and said im writing this check for basell to get the tigue re done and the guy never did, it was money we had to have to move forward, and it never came through. it's not on him.
we have a beautiful new scoreboard that was donated directly to baseball, and no credit was given to farmer, which i agree with. if we agree that he gets no credit for the scoreboard going up, then how can we blame him when the guy renegged on his donation promise that was made to tony, and not farmer in the first place.

You have no idea what my expectations are. I already said I'll give him credit, but for me his job starts now. The coaches and players did their part to bring us the most successful season in school history. It's now his job into parlaying it into the most successful fundraising campaign, season ticket drive the school has seen. I'm not talking normal growth that comes from success that would happen without him. I'm not talking season ticket drive a week before football season. Something that makes people say"wow, that's how you take advantage of success" I don't think that is bring unreasonable. Some of you sit here and act like he deserves the benefit of the doubt after all he has done. Not hardly, that's what lying and being deceitful gets you...skeptics.
